The Smart Card Alliance is very pleased to attend and participate fully in the World IC Card Summit in Beijing , China in 2007.  The smart card industry is enjoying a period of rapid growth on a global scale and significant market adoption in mobile communications, financial, government, transportation, and access security.  The smart card industry is drawing strength from new technology and market adoption in China and across the Asian region.  These new opportunities mean a great deal to the North American and Latin American smart card industry suppliers and end users that are represented by the Smart Card Alliance organization.  The World IC Card Summit is an opportunity for the Smart Card Alliance to educate the Chinese market about the rapidly developing North American marketplace and to bring back information about the Chinese and Asian market to North America .
