| On the 2nd day of the Expo, the 3rd E-passport Forum
(China) was held addressing the issue of e-passport implementation
in China and neighboring countries, which was based on the e-passport
interop testing results of the international projects over the past
years. The main topic was focusing on the planning of China e-passport
project, chip technology, software solution for photo processing,
passport printing and its solution. All the invited speakers made
constructive suggestions with reference to the e-passport project
in China during their presentations. The VIP attendants were from
Entry and Exit Management Department of Ministry of Public Security,
the Testing and Verification Center of Ministry of Public Security,
the State Security Coding Administration, No. 1 Research Institute
of Ministry of Public Security. The two international VIP speakers
invited were Mr. Surapol Maneepong and Dr. Parkpoom Srithimakul from
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The well-known vendors
were: Gemplus, Axalto, Infineon, ATMEL, DataCard, Muehlbauer, Bayer
Materials Science. |
