Smart Card Federation of China-SCFC

1. SCFC Mission Statement
Smart Card Federation of China (SCFC) is a non-governmental and non-profit, multi-vendor and end-user society, supported by manufacturers, suppliers, institutions, organizations and individuals as well as the corporate societies etc. In the smart card industry which promotes the smart card industry and the value of its products and services while providing an independent forum to speak for the industry.
2. SCFC Value Statement
Education
To educate the industry, the business community and the general public on the smart card industry regarding the development of new technology, products, services and environmental issues;
Ethics
To foster sound and ethical business practices;
Quality
To participate and subscribe to the National and ISO standards and assist in the interpretation and dissemination of these standards;
Representation
To represent the smart card industry before legislative assemblies, government agencies and other bodies and societies in the quality control,test and evaluation processing, the standards and security regulations;
Networking
To communicate with other international organizations and entities of the smart card industry;
Information
To publish information and materials containing data on trade and industry statistics;
Research
To support research, making feasibility study on the card industry and development worldwide, and to provide the consulting services on the official decisions on the industrial policies, regulations and legal issues;
Professionalism
1) To offer the special technical training courses for the employees and managers of the card industry nationwide;
2) To strive to enhance the professionalism of our methods through the development of standards and guidance.
3. What is SCFC
SCFC is a major non-profit trade society representing companies in the smart card industry. The smart card industry referred herein include: card manufacturing, test and quality control; card design and its standards; equipment manufacturing and suppliers; card issuance and marketing, security and system integration; applications and training, services and consultation. The main objectives are:
- to serve as an open forum for industry news, communications and networking;
- to monitor and report on the development of new industry technologies, products and services;
- to act as the independent voice for companies involved in the smart card industry.
